Dear UFL Players,

A scheduled maintenance update will take place on March 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 UTC. The server will be unavailable during this time. Matches will not be accessible starting from 5:45 UTC.

Please note that the expected server reactivation time is 8:00 UTC, but minor delays may occur. If the game is not accessible immediately after 8:00 UTC, rest assured that it will be available shortly.

New Game Mode – Playoffs

Available from March 17 at 10:00 UTC.

PvE mode with a tournament bracket — each stage features matches against AI opponents.

  • Winning the tournament grants rewards. On weekends, rewards are increased, and additional rewards are given at the end of the month.

  • Tournament rewards can only be earned once per day, but participation is unlimited. If you miss rewards on certain days, you can still earn them later within the same week.

  • You can earn in-game currencies (CP, RP, XP) by playing in this mode.

Gameplay

Passing & Shooting

  • Updated pass target selection algorithm.

  • Shot and pass animations trigger faster when tapping the button.

  • Low shots are now weaker when the power bar is low.

  • Flair shots are now more accurate.

  • Improved ball trajectory and enhanced accuracy of low-driven through passes.

Dribbling

  • Reduced overrunning of the ball during dribble sprint.

  • Improved straight-line movement in dribble sprint.

  • Enhanced responsiveness for players with low dribbling stats.

  • Improved shot animation selection for high balls.

  • Adjusted movement speed balance with and without the ball.

Goalkeepers

  • Fixed an issue where the ball could pass through the goalkeeper after a failed save.

  • Fixed an issue where the GK did not react to a shot from a rebound after making a save.

  • Fixed an issue where the goalkeeper would "freeze" after a goal kick.

  • Fixed delayed animation when picking up the ball.

  • Goalkeeper adjustments:

    • Improved chip shot reactions.

    • Reduced excessive jumping on saves.

Falling & Standing-up

  • Added new fall and standing-up animations.

  • Players now react more realistically to physical collisions in tackles.

Tackling

  • Added new active tackle animations.

  • Timing is crucial for active tackles. If performing an active tackle from behind, the player will stop.

Player Switching

  • Improved player selection algorithm when switching using LB/L1.

  • In potential 1v1 situations, switching now prioritizes a player who can intercept rather than one behind the opponent.

  • Reduced right stick switching search area from 360° to 190°.

Free Kick (Special Camera)

  • Faster reactions from the kicker to rebounded balls.

  • Fixed an issue where a player wouldn't take a shot after a wall deflection.

  • Fixed missing power gauge display when shooting with an alternative player.

  • Fixed camera transition delay after an alternative player passes.

Off-the-Ball Movement

  • Improved responsiveness when changing direction.

  • Optimized animation selection for smoother movement.

Stamina

  • Rebalanced stamina consumption.

  • Reduced stamina drain for situational pressing.

Ball Blocking

  • Increased minimum time for block attempts.

  • Reduced block reaction range — players now only react to nearby balls.

  • Fixed an issue where players would block balls coming from behind.

Miscellaneous Fixes

  • Fixed balls phasing through legs when shooting without players’ reaction.

  • Fixed players ignoring the ball after a goalkeeper save or post deflection.

  • Improved the dynamics of reaching the ball when receiving a pass and contesting a loose ball – player acceleration is now more responsive and prevents overrunning..

  • Addressed fouls occurring outside the pitch.

  • Fixed "running in place" when encountering restriction zones.

  • Fixed stuttering animations when taking penalty kicks.

  • Fixed foot clipping through the ground in off-the-ball movement.

AI Assist

Defensive Behavior

  • General adjustments:

    • The defensive line will stay wider inside the penalty box and collapse less when the ball gets closer.

    • Defenders can now push forward against ball carriers.

    • The defensive line will not drop back as aggressively outside the box but will still create space inside the box.

    • Increased defensive depth across all Defensive Depth settings (1-9).

    • Reduced the distance that defenders track attacking runs.

    • Increased the gap between midfield and defensive lines.

Pressure:

    • Reduced stamina consumption for "Press After Losing Possession" and "Pressure on a Heavy Touch".

Attacking Behavior

  • Attacking Runs:

    • Revamped logic for triggering attacking runs, making them more predictable and effective.

  • Positioning for Passes:

    • Attackers now stay further from defenders and have more freedom in positioning.

    • Central midfielders make more frequent short-distance movements for passes.

    • Improved player positioning inside the opponent’s box.

Parameter Adjustments

  • Increased impact of "Defensive Positioning" and "Attacking Positioning" attributes on player movements, attacking runs, marking, and pressing.

Fixes

  • Fixed goalkeepers attempting to intercept passes they couldn’t reach.

  • Fixed players getting stuck in restriction zones during throw-ins.

  • Fixed crashes related to tactical changes.

  • Improved CM and CDM positioning for "Don't Cross the Halfway Line" instructions.

  • Fixed offside calculation logic.

  • Fixed sprinting mechanics for players running out of a wall.

AI Bot

Attacking

  • The shooting system has been completely overhauled.

    • Depending on the situation, the bot can perform a regular shot, finesse shot, or long shot.

    • The bot makes more deliberate aiming decisions for shots on goal.

    • The bot considers the controlled player's attributes and dominant foot, weighing all parameters before taking a shot.

  • The crossing system inside the penalty area has been revamped:

    • The bot now takes into account the height of players in the box as well as their positioning and movement direction.

    • It attempts crosses that are most likely to lead to a shot on target.

    • The bot has improved awareness of opponents’ positions and avoids crossing directly into defenders.

  • The bot actively participates in aerial duels and can perform headers from them.

  • The bot's behavior in the opponent's penalty area has been adjusted. It is now more goal-oriented and engages in more frequent passing combinations.

  • Improved opponent awareness when selecting passing targets.

Defending

  • Improved 1v1 defence and interception logic.

  • Better positioning when anticipating passes.

  • New ball shielding and tackle behavior when the player is inactive.

  • Bot clears aerial balls when necessary.

Difficulty Adjustments

  • Easy AI has been slightly weakened to match the expectations of players.

  • Hard AI now exhibits more realistic and “conscious” build-up play.

Skin System Update

Skin Series Enhancements

The bonuses provided by Skin Series have been approximately doubled. For example, if a series previously improved crossing or shot power by a certain amount, the effect is now nearly twice as powerful. Additionally, Epic and Legendary skins from these series have been further enhanced—up to 2.5 times the original impact.

This update applies to all existing skin series in the game:

  • Teamwork Set

  • Elegance Set

  • Scoring Set

  • Collision Set

  • Passing Set

  • Combined Set

Unique Skins

Personal skins are now called Unique skins. All Unique Skin Collections have also been improved:

  • Protagonista

    • Player stat bonuses are now twice as effective

    • Experience boost increased from 5% → 10%

  • Glance

    • Player stat bonuses are now twice as effective

    • Experience boost increased from 6% → 10%

  • Vetrino

    • Player stat bonuses are now twice as effective

  • Profil

    • Player stat bonuses are now twice as effective

    • Experience boost increased from 5% → 10%

    • Fitness recovery boost increased from 40% → 60%

    • Lautaro Martínez skin: Now has an additional bonus to Finishing

    • Kevin De Bruyne skin: Now improves Attack Positioning & Finishing instead of Defence Positioning

    • These adjustments ensure that these skins fit better within the Profil collection.

  • Poster

    • Player stat bonuses are now twice as effective

    • Guido Rodríguez & Péter Gulácsi skins: Star ratings adjusted to better reflect their relative power

    • Experience & fitness recovery boosts removed to align with the rest of the Poster collection

  • Instinto

    • Player stat bonuses are now twice as effective

    • Squad-wide bonuses are now 3x more effective

    • Experience boost increased from 5% → 15%

    • Fitness recovery boost increased from 40% → 80%

  • Flareonix

    • Player stat bonuses are now ~1.5 times more effective

    • Experience boost increased from 5% → 15%

Similar to skin series stars, indication for bonuses from personal skins mostly remained the same.

Bonus Indication (Stars System)

Every star represents 4 points in a player's respective characteristics. I.e 3 stars at dribbling means that they add 12 points to dribbling characteristics, 2 stars at Long shots mean they add 8 points to Long shot characteristics etc.

During the past months, we have carefully analyzed data and your feedback regarding how skins work, how they affect players in your teams, and more.

With the 0.62 update, we are introducing the first batch of changes aimed at improving your experience when using players with skins in matches.

Further adjustments will be made in upcoming updates based on your feedback and data.

When discussing and designing skins and their representation in the game, our primary focus has always been to provide players with a clear and convenient way to assess the "power" level of any given skin. Additionally, we wanted to give players tools to compare skins from different collections easily.

Another key objective—both then and now—is to ensure compatibility with upcoming changes to game mechanics and systems, particularly in match gameplay.

These changes also impact other systems, including skins. Therefore, we are updating the underlying values of bonuses to align with broader game adjustments. This is essential to keep skins from both existing and future collections relevant, preventing them from becoming obsolete in the long run. We value your progress and want you to continue enjoying the ultra-rare, legendary, or personal skins you have obtained.

To achieve this, we have decided to use ⭐ representation as a standardized way to display the relative "power" of skins. We want to prevent confusion caused by necessary balance changes—such as adjustments from +4 to +5 or from +5% to +7% in strength—where the actual effect remains the same due to game mechanics evolution. This approach ensures that changes remain transparent and intuitive for all players."

Training Room

  • Added the ability to play with your club’s players in training. When entering any training mode, the user’s club will be loaded with all its assets—players, kits, ball, etc.

  • Fixed an issue where a player would appear in the camera’s screen space during free-kick training.

  • Fixed a potential camera switch to gameplay view during penalty training.

  • Fixed cases where a second marker would appear on the field in free training mode.

  • Fixed cases where the ball landing point indicator would not reset properly.

  • Fixed an issue where control settings were not applied in the training room.

  • Fixed the separation of progress into distinct categories for each training mode.

Audio & Visual

  • Improved the Match Results screen.

  • Updated the Team Pass UI.

  • Fixed numerous UI bugs and crashes.

  • Enhanced controller vibration feedback during player interactions.

  • Improved sound effects and added controller vibration on match confirmation and kit selection screens in ranked matches.

  • Refined controller vibration feedback when opening skin packs.

  • Made minor improvements to commentary lines.

  • Added the licensed BayArena stadium.

  • Updated appearances for 200+ players.

  • Updated photos for 20+ players.

Other

  • Deluxe Pass holders can now purchase SP (Star Points) using LP.

  • A special St. Patrick’s Day event kicks off in UFL on March 13!
